What is Xyronex?
Xyronex is a governed AI operating system that gives your organisation permanent institutional memory, auditable AI interactions, and controlled execution. Every Atlas response cites its sources — so every decision is grounded and traceable.
What does Atlas do?
Atlas is your organisation's AI intelligence layer. It can answer questions from your documents and case history, help you draft reports, surface decisions your team has made, and flag knowledge gaps. It references only your workspace knowledge unless you ask it to search the web.
Atlas is available in three contexts:
- Ask Atlas (sidebar) — workspace-wide questions spanning all folders
- Folder Chat — questions scoped to a specific folder's documents
- My Space — private chat, no organisation context
How is my data handled?
Your data is stored securely on UK infrastructure. Documents you upload are processed and stored in your private workspace vault — they are not shared with other organisations. Atlas responses include a governance receipt (ⓘ) showing exactly which sources were used.
You can export all your data at any time from Account Settings → Export my data.
My Space conversations are private to you — no workspace admin or colleague can view them.
Security & Trust
- UK data residency — all data is stored on UK infrastructure (DigitalOcean, London). Your data never leaves the UK.
- GDPR compliant — Xyronex operates as a data processor under Article 28. Your organisation retains ownership of all data. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
- No AI training on your data — your documents and conversations are never used to train AI models. They exist solely within your private workspace vault.
- ISO 42001 aligned — our AI governance practices follow ISO 42001 principles: human oversight, documented reasoning chains, and auditable AI interactions.
- Audit trails — every Atlas response includes a governance receipt showing which sources were used. The Audit tab in each folder shows all activity.

Getting started
- Create a folder for each project, case, or workstream using the + New folder button in the sidebar.
- Upload documents into the folder's Files tab — Atlas will reference them in every chat within that folder.
- Put shared knowledge (policies, standards, reference guides) into Library — these are always available to Atlas across every folder.
- Ask Atlas a question using the chat in your folder or the workspace-wide Ask Atlas button in the sidebar.
Quick tips
- Tap 🧠 Deep Reasoning in the chat bar for multi-step analytical questions — Atlas will research before answering
- Tap ⓘ below any Atlas response to see the governance receipt (exactly which sources were used)
- Use 🔍 in the sidebar footer (or press Ctrl+K) to search across all folders, documents, and conversations
- Paste large text into the chat — the Smart Paste banner lets you save it to your knowledge base instead of losing it when the session ends
- Use 💡 in the sidebar to request a new feature
Documents vs chat — what goes where?
- Files tab — upload documents that belong to a specific folder (case files, meeting notes, reports). Atlas can search them across all future sessions in that folder.
- Library — upload documents that apply across your whole workspace (HR policies, brand guidelines, product specs). Available in every folder.
- Chat — for questions and short context. Large blocks of text should be uploaded via Files — pasting into chat means Atlas can't search them later.
Understanding the governance receipt
Every Atlas response shows a ⓘ icon. Tap it to see:
- Which vault documents and canonical rules were used
- How confident Atlas was (tier: HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW)
- Whether any knowledge gaps were identified
- The answer mode used (Conversational, Investigative, Authoritative, etc.)
This is your audit trail — every AI answer is permanently logged and traceable.
Troubleshooting
- "Atlas doesn't know about my document" — check the Files tab shows it as processed (not pending). Allow a minute after upload for indexing.
- "Atlas gave me an outdated answer" — check the ⓘ receipt. If it cited an old document, upload the updated version and Archive the old one.
- "I pasted a long document and Atlas was slow" — large pastes replay in every session. Upload via Files tab instead — much faster and searchable.
- "I can't find an old conversation" — use 🔍 (Ctrl+K) to search past conversations by keyword.
- "Deep Reasoning is taking a long time" — this is intentional; it performs multi-step research before answering. For quick questions, leave it off.
